(jr stone) i'm jr stone. kerr was out last night and says he is still experiencing major problems since having two back surgeries last year. kron4's lydia pantazes joins us live from hayward with more on what this means for the team. (lydia)there was one thing all the people i spoke with said about kerr....that the most important thing is that he get better....(take vo)as you know he didn't coach last night during game three.fans were a little nervous at beginning of the game but the warriors did come back to win.kerr is having back issues that stems from a surgery in july 2015.he will not be coaching for game four.we spoke with fans who are worried but not about the team...they believe the warriors can still win but they're worried about kerr.in a press conference kerr said he's....(sot from kerr) (vo)most of the fans we spoke with at a sports store in hayward told us the team is extremely talented....they

live in the area of east oakland where this happened. spencer, what do we know about this case? i'm on the 32-hundred block of fruitvale avenue.it looks pretty normal - foot traffic, but not a ton.people not afraid to go for walks.even a church on the block.but friday night turned horrific when a woman was attacked. police say somewhere in this area, áthree men attacked a woman at gunpoint.they sexually assaulted her, leaving her with a two-inch gash on her forehead.she was hospitalized.generally speaking, neighbors here don't envision such ghastly crime going on in this neck of the woods. "this is a home area, i mean, we're all just people that are here, that have lived here for a long time.""ask for more police.""no one can pretend
that oakland doesn't have a crime problem, but i've never seen anything like that around here."(vo)police have not made any arrests so far, but they do think those three men are still on the loose.we don't know if they might be close to this area, somewhere else in oakland, or even farther away in the bay area. so far, police haven't given us a description of the men they're looking for.live in oakland, spencer blake, kron four news. (áájustineáá) now to hayward, where police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened near a university. the crime happened on fielding drive... near california state university east bay. at the scene, officers found a 21- year-old hispanic man suffering from gunshot wounds. he was taken to the hosptial... where he died of his injuries. there is no suspect in custody and no information available about potential suspects. this is the second homicide in hayward this year. (áájustineáá) and in
richmond, one man is in critical condition and another in serious condition .. following a shooting earlier today. police tell us... the two men were walking on gertrude avenue at 4 this morning.. when they were confronted and shot by one or more suspects. police say the victims are 19-years-old and 28-years-old. both men underwent surgery this afternoonand are currently in the hospital. the suspect or suspectshave not been caught. a somber memorial today for the victims of the deadly fire on san pablo avenue in west oakland. the fire last month at the transition housing building killed 4 people in the middle of the night. kron 4's hermela aregawi spent some time today at the church service where those who perished were remebered. three of the victims were a part this 14th street church in oakland.in an hours long
service, a flower was laid down for all four killed in the fire.our very own deacon edwarn anderson . could we have a family representative that could stand.a sendoff. what archbishop aria lewis, the sister of one of those killed in the fire calls closure.her brother air force vet - 64 year old deacon edwarn anderson died in the four alarm blaze.archbishop aurea lewis/ victim's sister: we just want to lift up his voice and sing to him that we did love him that we still love him. we love the west oakland community for pastor allowing us to come and celebrate publically to get the healing part done in our hearts. its so hard to not have closure. and this public memorial is a closure to the west oakland fire. investigators believe a candle is what caused the march 27th fire.the fire started early that morning.in a building that housed people recovering from addiction. dozens of residents were displaced.daryle allums/adamika village: stepped in the day of the fire
to assist the fire survivors to help them with clothing toiletries and to assist them to make sure they were able to meet their needs, proper needs and proper help, temporarily housing and permanent housing also. (jr stone) the suspect in a racially- motivated murder spree in fresno is admitting to the crimes. kori muhammad is accused of killing four men - most of them just because they were white. earlier today...he spoke on the phone from the fresno county jail with reporter matt mendes. he's a man who is accused of taking innocent lives and creating chaos across fresno. matt mendes, reporting:"did you kill three white men and shoot at four people, tuesday?" voice of kori muhammad / prefonted beeper graphic:"um, yeah." on saturday, muhammad spoke with cbs47 by phone from the downtown fresno jail, where he admitted to killing a total of
four people and spoke about his hatred of white men.voice of kori muhammad, murder suspect:"someone has to fight for them. someone has to fight for all the people who died at the hands of racist white men." police said, kori muhammad terrorized fresno beginning a week ago thursday at motel 6. muhammad claimed his first killing happened after security guard carl williams disrespected him and his friend.voice of kori muhammad, murder suspect:"the security guard was arguing with her, being very disrespectful, so i shot him."matt mendes, reporting:"you shot the security guard?" voice of kori muhammad, murder suspect:"yes, sir."from there, muhammad said he hid from officers on top of a neighboring business. voice of kori muhammad, murder suspect:"i scaled the wall, got on top of the roof, stayed there until i felt it was safe enough to get down."a few days later, muhammad said he discovered he was wanted by police and his photo and name were in the news. voice of kori muhammad, murder suspect / part is prefonted beeper graphics:"i was actually going to turn myself in, then i started thinking about the missing black women, and children, started thinking about flint, michigan, started

(jr stone) so far, muhammad is only facing charges related to the attack on the security guard. but prosecutors say he may later be charged in the killing of the other three men. muhammad's attorney has requested a mental evaluation to see if the suspect is competent to stand trial. coming up at eight. how officers say these men were able to walk out of a marin county mall with thousands of dollars worth of stolen goods. plus a judge has ordered this former bay area police officer to be put on trial. what he did while on duty that could land him in prison for decades. the presidential election in france has taken an unusual turn. we'll explain what this could mean for europe... and how bay area french nationals are reacting. detectives are asking for your help in finding two men that broke into a car, stole credit cards, and went on a shopping spree. kron 4's alecia reid tracked down where the crime happened, and tells us what people who work there have to say about the suspected thieves. authorities say these men are responsible for thousands of dollars worth of credit card fraud in marin.sot - it's a crime of opportunityit started thursday at the dickson ranch, where workers saw them lurking
around. as a deterent, they inquired about rates and times for horse riding classes . when they were actually there on a mission.luitenant steve delao (de-lah-oh) from the marin county sheriff's office tells me the men may have targeted the victim. hers was the only vehicle that was broken into. within the 45 minutes it took to go riding, the culprits made their way to the village at corte madera. authorities say they spent about $5-thousand dollars in nordstrom and macy's. when the victim got back to her car, she noticed 4 of her cards were missing and creditors were calling about possible fraudulent activity. the sheriff's office was able to get surveillance footage of the men inside the stores.sot - working with loss prevention from each store, they were able to track down the transactionalthough this is not a common occurrence at the ranch, officials say they've had numerous breakins at different trails in the area lt. steve delao / marin county sheriff's office - sot - it is a common crime for that to happen. we have a bunch of trails in the county, and people pull over to hike and they leave their car for the day and come back to find that their vehicle has been broken into.after hitting up corte
madera, the men also tried target in marin city but by then all of the victims credit cards were red flagged and closed.sot - both those purchases were deniedthe sheriff's office is urging, if you can help locate these men, give them a call. reporting in marin (jr stone) a san mateo county judge has ordered a former police officer to stand trial for allegedly raping five women while on duty. on friday the judge ordered noah winchester to stand trial. prosecutors last year charged the 32-year-old with raping women between july 2013 and october 20-15 while he served with the san mateo police department and as an officer for the los rios community college district in sacramento. winchester quit the police department in febuary 2016. just four months after the criminal investigation was launched. he is accused of raping two
women while on duty as a campus police officer and three women while in uniform with san mateo. (justine) a small earthquake has rattled parts of the southern california coast. the magniture 3-point-6 quake hit just before 11 todayabout three miles east of santa barbara. there are no immediate reports of damage or injury. the u-s geological survey's website had hundreds of reports of people feeling the shaking as far south as los angeles county. (justine) in fresno... a father died in a freak accident involving a runaway tire. authorities say it happened friday night when the man and his daughter were driving on highway 99 in bakersfield. a truck was traveling in the opposite direction when it lost a tire. that tire went flying through their car's windshield. the father died of his injuries in the hospital. his 9-year-old daughter is recovering. police are investigating the collision... (jrstone) as more than 100 wildfires rip through florida... residents in polk county, near tampa are amazed to return to homes that are still standing. all 800 residents of the indian lake estates community were forced to evacuate as the fire threatened to level their properties. many spent hours waiting outside their neighborhood gate... nervously wondering what they would eventually come home to. resident charles davidson says when the fire started burning he grabbed a garden hose to help stop the fire. he quickly realized there was nothing he coud do. (jrstone) the funeral arrangements for convicted murderer and former n-f-l star aaron hernandez are underway. his body arrived in his hometown of bristol, connecticut yesterday.
hernandez was found hanged inside his prison cell in massachusetts wednesday. he was serving a life sentence for the 20-13 murder of odin lloyd. hernandez had just been acquitted of a 20-12 double murder. his family released a statement yesterday thanking people for their condolences... and asking for privacy as they mourn. still ahead. we go out to pizza school and meet a group of east bay kids who are learning to cook from a real chef.

dough, before that you have to have to make it rise and stuff. cheese, lots of bacon. bacon on it. here at alamo elementary in the city's outer richmond neighborhood - kids are getting a hands on lesson from a real life chef. (kid) he's dante cecchini from fiorella - the little cal- italian restaurant up the street.(chef) they all did a great job and i was happy to have their help. and the pizza ingredients come straight form the school's student garden.(teacher) all the students here helped the garden grow and they helped make the pizzas today. parents are happy - because it teaches kids where food comes from... and how to whip up a tasty meal at home. kids like it for obvious reasons.(student) i liked eating the pizza but i like putting on the cheese. they get to fire up their concoctions in the restaurant's wood fire oven for a pizza party. the best pie combo is added to the menu. and to top it off... with each sale of the winning pie - 10% goes back to the school's art department. besides - who knows which
one of these pie makers might end up - a celebrity chef! (jr stone) a convenience store manager in michigan was left seriously injured after
an angry customer ran her over. and the whole scene....was caught on camera.. reporter rebacca russel has more. around 1:30 saturday morning, this employee "jose," who didn't wish to be seen on camera was working with a 57-year-old woman named kristina.you can see on surveillance video three women pull up to the drive-thru window in a dark colored s-u-v. jose says that's when he heard the argument start."they were arguing about the price or something like that, like the price was changing or something. so the owner gave them the bottle to check everything and she just got tired of dealing with it so she closed the window."jose thinks the women got mad because kristina shut the window on them... so they came inside."kristina came out and they started arguing about how she got disrespected or something like that. the customer said she did everything right, but she was complaining about the prices." jose asked the women to leave, but they said
they wouldn't leave without an apology.then this happened... "then one of the two girls that came in after said, 'well we'll give her something to get mad about," and they started pulling down the shelves of the snacks things over there, the chips and everything. they pulled the shelves and that's when kristina started chasing them cause they started running." kristina chased after the three women into the parking lot.now we won't show what happened next.but kristina runs up to the passenger side window.the driver backs up, knocks kristina to the ground, then they run her over. kristina was left lying in the parking lot."i found her on the ground. she was laying there. if if would've been a few inches further, they would've run over her stomach, so it was lucky that it wasn't and it was just the legs. otherwise it would've been worse." (jr stone) kristina is in the hospital with a fractured leg, broken pelvis and bleeding on her brain.
police are still looking for the three suspects. (justine) firefighters rescued a teenager who got caught in a swollen creek in tennessee. a firefighter walked through the rushing water, to reach the teen who got stuck in yesterday. the teenager was hanging on to a light pole, after trying to ride his bike through three feet of water. other rescuers later used rope to pull them both to the shore. the sinking creek is usually dried up, but there's been a lot of rain in the area lately. rescuers say the water temperature was about 50- degrees... and the teen showed signs of hypothermia. (justine) an l-a fire looked like a scene from breaking bad... reporter jeremy roth has more about an r-v that went up in flames just feet from a huge propane tank! an rv fire went from bad to worse in los angeles ...when a series of small explosions shot flames toward a nearby
